When Daniel came to the NHL in 2000, he took his long time girlfriend Marinette with him. The two were married in 2005. They have two children together; daughter Ronja, and son Erik.

Marinette obtained a degree in psychology from the University of British Coumbia, which helped ease her into her role with the Canucks Family Education Centre. The Centre is designed to help immigrant Canuck wives and girlfriends transition to the English language.
In addition to this role, Marinette is actively involved in the local charity scene. Most recently, Daniel and Marinette alongside Daniel’s brother Henrik and his wife Johanna, made a $1.5M contribution to BC Children’s Hospital, requesting that their money be earmarked for a pediatric intensive care and diagnostic unit.

Henrik married his long time girlfriend Johanna in the summer of 2007. The two Swedish born Sedin’s have two sons together, Valter, born in 2006 and Harry, born in 2010.

As we mentioned in the post about Henrik’s brother Daniel, Henrik and Johanna recently joined forces with Daniel and his wife to make a $1.5M donation to a Vancouver Children’s Hospital. The money was donated to help set up a pediatric intensive care and diagnostic unit. Henrik said that he and Johanna had wanted to make this donation ever since their older son Valter was born in 2006.

Ryan and Andrea have two kids together, daughter Makayla and son Ryker born in December, 2010. Ryan is a self described family man, who wants a lot of kids (his words from his blog). The family lives in Vancouver with their three dogs during the season, and return to Ryan’s hometown of Livonia, Michigan during the off-season.

Roberto Luongo’s wife Gina Luongo is likely very happy now that her husband has been traded from Vancouver to Florida. While a sudden and unexpected trade can rock the lives of a player’s family, that likely isn’t the case for the Luongo family. You see, Gina Luongo is the daughter of the owner of a popular Florida Panthers hang out, called Pizza Time Trattoria. In something that sounds straight out of Saved By The Bell or 90210 (a la The Max or The Peach Pit), the two met at that pizza shop. So the return to Florida allows Gina to be back near her family, rather than in an entirely different country – and we’re guessing she’s happy about that.

Roberto and Gina were engaged in 2004, marrying shortly afterwards in 2005. They have two children together, Gabriella born in 2008, and Gianni born in 2010.

Manny and Joann were married in September of 2007. They have one child together, son named Caleb born in 2008.

Manny and Joann host an annual Thanksgiving dinner for any of Manny’s teammates who are interested in coming. Manny explained in an interview with AskMen that it’s important to him to make sure that the young guys on his team without family in the area have a place to go celebrate and feel like they’re home. He says the couple host upwards of 20 people every year.

We can’t lie. We first learned about Joann after her brother (and Manny’s brother-in-law), tweeted an update after Manny’s regular-season ending eye injury. Her brother just so happens to be Suns PG Steve Nash.:

UPDATE: 10-31-2011: Thanks to a harmless Tweet by teammate Paul Bissonnette, Raffi Torres and his wife Gianna Santeramo-Torres are in some hot water this morning. Raffi and Gianna dressed up as Jay-Z and Beyonce for a Halloween party. For authenticity sake, they donned blackface. While we don’t have a problem with this and really don’t see the big deal, many people are accusing the Torres’ of racism. We say those people need something else to occupy their time. With his huge goal tonight in game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals against our Boston Bruins to break a scoreless tie with only 18.5 seconds left en route to a Canucks victory, Raffi Torres is receiving a lot of attention. We hadn’t posted anything about him before, basically because there isn’t much information out there about his wife, Gianna. Given the media attention tonight though, it seemed like as good a time as any for some super sleuthing – and we’ve got it. A photo of Raffi Torres wife Gianna, that you won’t find many other places.

Raffi and Gianna became engaged in 2006, were married in Toronto on July 5, 2008 and have a daughter, Kaytlin Torres, together, but we the people of the Interwebs don’t know much else about Gianna. Until some pretty impressive detective work by us very recently, no one even had a photo of Raffi Torres’ wife. For a long time, the closest we could get to a photo of Gianna is a photo of the tattoo that Raffi has of his wife on his arm, though she is made to look more action figure than real life – so it’s not much help.

Oddly enough, far more information is available on Raffi Torres’ father Juan and mother Anna. It seems like hockey wives are the hardest to find information on. Given Raffi’s numerous quotes on how he would prefer his wife stayed home during hockey season, perhaps that’s not surprising.

Alex and the former Nancy Roy got engaged in the summer of 2009, while vacationing in Europe. Alex proposed in Venice at the Grand Canal. They were married in July, 2010.

Nancy gave birth to the couple’s first child, Victoria, on April 27, 2011. The birth came less than 24 hours after Alex scored the game winning, game 7 series clinching overtime goal in the first round of the 2011 playoffs against the Blackhawks. Following the whirlwind 24 hours, Alex joked that the emotional roller coaster of the series must have triggered the birth. He also added:
“I’m pretty lucky. My wife is unbelievable. Obviously, I spent the day in the hospital and last night the baby was born and I was able to spend a few hours there after the birth. It was a special moment, really magical. I’m really proud. My wife knew today was another big game for me and she understands and supports me.”

Aaron Rome’s wife is Adrianne Rome and they have one son together (Grayson Rome). Aaron Rome and his wife spend their time together in the off-season in Brandon, Manitoba. No word on whether that is where Rome learned the cheapshot tactics that he put on display in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals when he blindsided Nathan Horton, resulting in a dangerous play and a severe concussion for Horton. We do know that the NHL did the right thing by suspending Rome for 4 games (the remainder of the playoffs, which is at least what Horton will miss) and that Aaron and his wife will be spending a lot more time together as a result. GO BRUINS!

Kevin Bieksa married his longtime girlfriend Katie in the summer of 2007. The two live in Smithville, Ontario, near Kevin’s hometown. They have two children together, son Cole born in 2007, and daughter Reese born in 2009.
The only thing we came across about Katie specifically that she volunteers regularly with other Canuck wives. Also, Kevin acknowledged that they are both dog lovers, and that they like to watch TV and drink tea before bed.

Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way now:
Canucks backup goaltender Cory Schneider is dating a girl named Jill Connors. Both Jill and Cory hail from Massachusetts and from various accounts grew up as Bruins fans.
That’s enough boring stuff.
Now, why exactly are we covering a a backup goaltender’s girlfriend? Because in the true spirit of the Canucks-Bruins rivalry, everyone’s getting involved in the trash talk,… including the girlfriends.
Milan Lucic’s girlfriend, Brittany Carnegie recently fired shots at the girlfriend of Canucks backup netminder, Cory Schneider, aka Jill. In her twitter blast, Brittany shot the following (Please note these are exact tweets, spelling and all):

Everyone in boston! I would love u 2 know COER SNYDER’S girlfriend fingered* me and told me off about my bruins hat today she is from BOS!

And incase you don’t know SNYDER he is the Canucks loser back up goaltender ! I guess haters are guna hate!… Big F U Snyder

So there it is. The ironic twist of the Bruins girlfriend who hails from Vancouver facing off against the Canucks girlfriend who hails from Boston. Brittany wasn’t done yet, as she spoke with Comcast Sports Net New England via Twitter to further elaborate her side of the story:

“She was yelling across a few tables she was from boston and so I gave her a thumbs up… little did I know she was not saying it in a good way! So she flipped me the middle finger and…she did not give this up alllllll night finally when I was going home she bolted over to me …started to say she didn’t realize I was wearing it and dating Milan and so on. It was to say the least CRAZY! I also had picked a table in the corner because I knew I was coming from the game! She was the ONLY one with a problem! People at the game were more curious as to why I wore a Bruins hat and were VERY pleasant to me!”

Now, while any search of @BrittCarnegie yields no results on Twitter, it’s worth noting that her account is now private (and we actually believe it was prior to this incident). It’s doubtful we’ll ever see a response from Jill, but if we do, you know where you’ll find an update.

*We feel it pertinent to note that Brittany’s use of fingered meant that Jill flipped her off. Take your mind out of the gutter people.

Yanick Weber’s girlfriend Kayla Price is the younger sister of Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price. ​She also appears to be a very active girlfriend, often taking Yanick on all types of outdoor excursions including golf, hiking, running, boating. Recently Kayla and Yanick took a trip to Amsterdam where they met up with a bunch of Yanick’s friends. I guess Yanick is just an international kind of fellow.

Kayla also maintains a website called Kayla Price Beauty which is solely a question and answer thing which gets a surprising amount of traffic. It’s all about how to keep oneself looking beautiful, I guess. All the questions that are sent to Yanick Weber’s girlfriend Kayla Price revolve around various issues that women have with makeup and beauty stuff. An example is a woman writing in saying she doesn’t wear makeup but in the summer her skin gets really oily, and Kayla responds by telling her to use a whole host of products including coconut oil, a baby skin primer, pore filler, and oil blotting sheets. I have no idea what any of these things are, but it seems like a fun way for Kayla to interact with people. She posts pictures of herself and her makeup work as well, and she seems like she knows what she’s doing. Then again, I know exactly nothing about any of it.

Over the summer, Kayla took a European vacation in London, Turkey and the Greek Islands with Yanick. They really get around in the offseason. It’s pretty common for hockey players and their girlfriends to travel in the offseason like they’re international fugitives. In her downtime, she sits around and watches shows on Netflix like Family Guy and Friends. What a charmed life.
